The International School Utrecht is an International Baccalaureate World School and part of SPO Utrecht (primary) and Nuovo Scholen (secondary). ISU offers the International Baccalaureate curriculum for students from 4-19 from diverse international backgrounds. We are a close knit, inclusive, and welcoming community of students, staff, and parents. ISU is a member of the Dutch International schools (DIS), a group of over twenty schools providing internationally-oriented primary and/or secondary education.

The International School Utrecht is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Attendance Coordinator, to work closely with students and other involved parties to ensure punctuality and good attendance at school. It is a vital support role within the school that involves data entry, following patterns, and working closely with other staff towards effecting good habits and student well-being.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Experience with teenagers, in a school or youth environment
  • Experience with or a fast learner of registration and reporting software
  • Excellent communication skills

The ideal candidate should have the following attributes:

  • Accuracy and attention to detail with the daily data entry and follow up.
  • Proactive and visible presence
  • Ability to coordinate and collaborate with the attendance support team and provide guidance and direction.
  • Well-developed communication skills for interactions between varied parties (students, staff, municipality attendance officers and other internal and external contacts)
  • Knowledgeable and able to cultivate a good working knowledge of national guidelines, procedures and policies relating to student well-being such as attendance, child protection and learning support so that they can give informed advice to parents and staff.
  • Good spoken and written English
  • Demonstrates professionalism, commitment, integrity, and perseverance.
