International School Utrecht

The International School Utrecht is an International Baccalaureate World School and part of SPO Utrecht (primary) and Nuovo Scholen (secondary). ISUtrecht offers the International Baccalaureate curriculum for students from 4-19 from diverse international backgrounds. We are a close knit, inclusive, and welcoming community of students, staff, and parents.ISUtrecht is a member of the Dutch International schools (DIS), a group of over twenty schools providing internationally-oriented primary and/or secondary education.

Who we are

We are an IB continuum school offering the Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme, and Diploma Programme. We are a fast growing school with over 1000 students and 150 staff members from all over world. We are a community of life-long learners.

At ISU, inclusive education means providing education that is as inclusive as possible. The student population, aged 4 to 18, exhibits great diversity in language, culture, educational background, and educational and developmental needs. Aligned with this diversity, the educational vision and philosophy from the IB, ISU has a strong support structure focused on inclusion, working closely with core partners around the school. We have opened the “Rainbow class” (SEN class), to accommodate the diverse needs of learners, where they spend parts of their day.

Our Mission & Vision

ISUtrecht is a warm and welcoming community brought together by a single purpose: to inspire our students with a passion for lifelong learning, to equip them with the tools to achieve excellence for themselves and the global community they live in. Uncovering and defining talent is at the heart of our educational mission.

Core Values

As an IB world continuum school, ISUtrecht offers high quality education through inquiry-based learning, inspiring student curiosity, lifelong learning, and agency.

ISUtrecht is an inclusive school where everyone is welcome and can be who they want to be. We understand that there are multiple perspectives, and we respect each other’s differences.

Our ISUtrecht community is not defined by borders but exists in connections. To us, connection means belonging, feeling involved, and making links between learning and life.
